Installed the Camino Browser on my Mac yesterday.
Firefox has been letting me down. Doesn't show embedded video's reliably. And occasionally refuses to process my moves on chessmaniac.com until I force quit. (Did I mention it will not close with Apple-Q??)
Anyway, so far so good. Seems to do embeds without any trouble. Hasn't given me trouble in the chess world. It isn't as full featured as firefox, but it does all the important stuff..
I don't dig Safari too much. Seems to lack a lot of features that are standard everywhere else..
I am getting accustomed to my new computer pretty quickly.
I have been walking around my office showing it off to my coworkers... Most of them wrinkle their noses at it, right about the time that the iSight camera snaps a photo of them. I assembled a nice little collage of startled co-workers using the silly "Comic Life" application. I suspect Andee will find good use for that program when she sees what it can do.
I signed up for Amazon's S3 Service, and then installed the Jungle Disk software. I now can automatically back up selected folders on my Mac, and have them securely and redundantly stored for pennies per month. Pretty darn good deal. Jungle Disk works on other OS's as well, so it is probably worth checking out.
Started managing my podcasts with iTunes. Watched the last 3 John Piper sermons. The "When is Abortion Racism" sermon should be listened to by everybody.
I need to learn to develop for the Mac.
