More AP lies
Amazingly, the lead story on My.yahoo is " Yahoo! News - Questions Raised About Bush Guard Service
If you read the story, you will find a the following quote in the third paragraph
But the authenticity of the memos was questioned Thursday by the son of the late officer who reportedly wrote them. One of the writer's fellow officers and a document expert also said Thursday the documents appear to be forgeries.
They gloss over the real story to perpetuate the hoax.
The AP story continues to quote the late officer as if he actually authored the forged documents.
This from the wire service that hears phantom booing and reports it as real.
We should be thankful for bloggers like Powerline who are out there keeping the media accountable.
The whitehouse released these forgeries after they obtained them from CBS news. It will be interesting to find out where CBS news got them.
Hopefully this fiasco will spell the end of Dan Rather. His vendetta against to Bush family has always been outside of the realm of reality. Newsmen should hold themselves to reporting truth, not spreading slander.
